From the age of four he learned to play the piano, from the age of five he studied the violin, and at the age of seven, he first appeared on the local radio. He graduated from the New England Conservatory , a student of Richard Burgin ; then improved his skills in Belgium under the leadership of Arthur Grumio .
He played in the orchestras of France and Quebec, performed in the USA as a soloist (often accompanied by Philibert Mees ), left several records ( Eugene Isai , Ernest Chausson , Maurice Ravel and others). Since 1970 , he taught at the University of Florida . He was known as an active participant in the movement of black musicians, was a member of the jury of the National Competition of Black Performers, and participated in various charity campaigns.
