The village was founded in 1869 and named after the punish chieftain of the Transbaikal Cossack army , explorer of the Far East Mikhail Semenovich Korsakov (1826-1871) [4] .

Geography
The village of Korsakovka stands on the left bank of the Borisovka River. The Kazachka River (the left tributary of Borisovka) flows north of the village about 6 km.
The village of Korsakovka is located southwest of Ussuriysk , the distance in a straight line is about 18 km.
The road to the village of Korsakovka goes southwest of the village of Borisovka . The distance to Borisovka is about 10 km, to Ussuriysk about 25 km.
