Yaroshchuk, Vadim Maksimovich

Vadim Maksimovich Yaroshchuk (born April 2, 1966, Kryvyi Rih ) is a Soviet swimmer , two-time bronze medalist of the Olympic Games. USSR master of sports of international class .

Career

Initially, he trained with the Ukrainian coach Alexey Abramov [1] , then with V.P. Lashko [2] .

At the Olympics in Seoul, Yaroshchuk won the bronze medal in the combined swimming 200 meters , losing to the German Patrick Kul and the Hungarian Tamas Darny . In the combined relay race of 4 × 100 meters, Yaroshchuk, together with Igor Polyansky , Dmitry Volkov and Gennady Prigoda, won bronze, losing to the teams of Canada and the USA [3] . In swimming 100 and 200 meters butterfly Yaroshchuk took 8th and 11th places respectively.

At the 1986 World Cup, Vadim Yaroshchuk won the silver and bronze medals in the combined swimming at 400 and 200 meters. Also Yaroshchuk is the owner of the bronze, two silver and gold medals of the European Championship .
