Biography
Vasily Zabolotny was born on March 2 (14), 1860 into an Orthodox family.
Got a home education.
He entered military service on May 13, 1879 . He graduated from the Kiev Military School . Released in the 44th Infantry Reserve Battalion. Warrant Officer (art. 23.05.1883). Second lieutenant (v. 30.08.1884). The lieutenant (v. 30.08.1888). Headquarters captain (art. 06/05/1900). Captain (art. 06/05/1901). Commanded a company.
Member of the Russian-Japanese war of 1904-1905 . In the battle was wounded. [one]
Lieutenant Colonel (pr. 1905; art. 06/06/1905; for military distinctions). Colonel (art. 12/06/1910). On March 1, 1914 was in the 149th Black Sea Infantry Regiment.
Member of the First World War . Commander of the 297th Kovel Infantry Regiment. Major General (Pr. 02/18/1916; Art. 09/11/1914). In one of the battles he was wounded and captured. From being wounded (with a sword in the head), he lost the ability to move his right limbs and speak. He returned from captivity disabled.
After the October Revolution was in exile. He died after 1933 . [2]
