Biography
Born in s. Kladkovka, Nezhinsky district of Chernihiv region. He graduated from 10 classes of secondary school in 1951. He worked in agriculture, was the foreman of a field crop brigade. He was awarded the medal "For Valiant Labor during the Great Patriotic War" in 1946.

Called to the army, he studied at the school of junior radio specialists of the Armored and Mechanized Forces, transformed into the Gorky Military School of Communications in which he studied from 1951 to 1954.
