San Saba (river)

San Saba River ( English San Saba River ) - a river in central Texas ( USA ), the right tributary of the Colorado River. The total length of the river is approximately 225 km [1] [2] .

San Saba River Basin

The San Saba River forms in the northern part of the Eduards Plateau , at the confluence of the North Valley Prong ( North Valley Prong , the source coordinates are [3] ) and Middle Valley Prong ( English Middle Valley Prong , source coordinates - [4] ). The confluence of these rivers is located at an altitude of 631 m above sea level, next to the village of , located in the Texas district of Menard [3] [4] . Nearby is the Texas State Historic Park - Fort McKavett State Historic Site [5] .

Then the San Saba River flows east (and a little to the north), approaches the highway   and continues along this highway east to the city of Menard , the center of the eponymous district . At Menard, a river crosses a highway   and continues to flow east along   Texas Highway 29 ( State Highway 29 ).

Then the river goes to the northeast, flows south of the city of Brady (the center of Mc Kaloch County ), and then crosses the highway   and   Texas State Highway 71 . After that, the Brady Creek , one of its main tributaries, flows into the San Saba River. The confluence of the Brady stream into the San Saba river is located at an altitude of 399 m, coordinates - [6] .

Approaching the city of San Saba (the center of the district of the same name ), the river crosses the highway   , and then continues to flow along this highway to the confluence of the Colorado River, which is located at an altitude of 341 m above sea level [1] .

The San Saba River basin area is 8132 km² [7] .
