Be Incorporated is a corporation established in 1990 in California , USA . Creator of the BeOS operating system and BeBox personal computer . The company was created by the former executive director of Apple Computers, Jean-Louis Gassier, with the capital of Seymour Creil . The main goal of creating the company was to develop a modern, advanced computer platform, both hardware and software.

In 2001, the companyβs assets were acquired by Palm, Inc. for $ 11 million, after which the liquidation procedure was started.
