History
On the map of the St. Petersburg province of 1792, A. M. Wilbrecht , the village of Valovschina is mentioned [2] .
On the map of the St. Petersburg province of F. F. Schubert in 1834, the village of Valov shina , consisting of 35 peasant households , is indicated [3] .
VALOVSHCHINA - the village belongs to the Office of the gof-quartermaster's office, the number of inhabitants according to the audit: 120 m., 135 w. p. [4] (1838)
According to the map of Professor S. S. Kutorgi in 1852, the village was called Valovina Shina and consisted of 35 yards [5] .
VALOVSHCHINA - the village of Tsarskoye Selo Palace, along the postal tract and country road, the number of yards - 47, the number of souls - 149 m. [6] (1856)
The number of inhabitants of the village according to the Xth revision of 1857: 146 m. paragraph [7] .
VALOVSHCHINA - possessive village with wells, the number of yards - 58, the number of inhabitants: 147 m., 159 g. P.; Orthodox chapel [8] . (1862 year)
The peasant of the village of Valovschina, Fyodor Dorofeev, bought in 1877 from E.V. Chulkova and M.F. Sokolov a plot of land with an area of 84 tithes with a manor, near the village of Alekseevka.
According to the home census of 1882, 70 families lived in the village, the number of inhabitants: 199 m. P.; the category of peasants is specific [7] . In the same year, the partnership of the peasants of the village of Valovschina bought from N.P. Pykhachev, a plot of land with an area of 80 acres at the village of Nikolsky, in the same year from the widow of Major Pykhachev bought 69 acres of land at the village of Nikolsky, the peasant F.I. Dorofeev [9] .
In 1884, the local peasant F. I. Dorofeev bought another 205 acres of land in the village of Valovschina [10] .
A compilation of the Central Statistical Committee described the village as follows:
VALOVSHCHINA - former specific village, courtyards - 60, residents - 357. Chapel, shop. (1885) [11] .
According to the data of 1889, F. I. Dorofeev had 20 horses and 5 cows on the farm [12] .
In the XIX - early XX centuries, the village administratively belonged to the Putilov volost of the 1st camp of the Shlisselburg district of the St. Petersburg province.
According to the "Memorial Book of the St. Petersburg Province" for 1905, the village was called Valovschina [13] .
From 1917 to 1923, the village of Valovschina was part of the Putilov volost of the Shlisselburg district [14] .
According to the military topographic map of the Petrograd and Novgorod provinces of the 1921 edition, the village was called Valov shina [15] .
Since 1923, as part of the Leningrad district .
Since February 1927, as part of the Mginsky volost, since August 1927, as part of the Mginsky district .
Since 1928, as part of the Putilov Village Council [14] .
According to the data of 1933, the village was called Vovolovshchina and was part of the Putilov Village Council of the Mginsky District [16] .

In 1961, the population of the village of Valovschina was 184 people [14] .

In 1997, 70 people lived in the village of Valovschina, Putilov volost, in 2002 - 107 people (Russians - 86%) [20] [21] .
In 2007, in the village of Valovschina Putilovskogo joint venture - 111 [22] .
Geography
The village is located in the northern part of the district on the highway 41K-529 (access to the village of Valovschina), south of the center of the village of Putilovo .
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 3 km [22] .
The distance to the nearest railway platform is 75 km - 2.5 km [17] .
The river Ryabinovka flows to the west of the village.
