Game Rules
The participant has 9 lives to overcome 7 challenges. Each test passed brings a certain amount of money:
| Test | Cost |
|---|---|
| one | £ 1,000 |
| 2 | £ 2,000 |
| 3 | £ 10,000 |
| four | £ 20,000 |
| 5 | £ 50,000 |
| 6 | £ 100,000 |
| 7 | £ 250,000 |
Failing the test, the participant loses one life. Losing the last life, the participant leaves the game with nothing. However, before each test, the participant can decide whether to play further or to withdraw money. He makes this decision after the next game is demonstrated.
In addition to lives, a participant can use:
- Simplify ( simplification ) - the current test in some way simplified. If the participant uses this option before the game, then he is obliged to play and can no longer take the money.
- Trial Run ( trial attempt ) - the participant can try to complete the test and decide whether he will continue the game or take the money. The result of the test approach itself is not taken into account. This opportunity appears in the player only after completing the first test.
Studio
The leader and the player are on a small round platform. A bridge that revolves around it approaches the site. On it, the player leaves the audience and also passes into the cube.
In the center of the studio is a large cube (4 × 4 × 4 meters), the edges of which are made of glass. The participant passes all the tests inside this cube: the wall closest to the player opens like a door and the participant passes inside, after which the door closes.
Around are the spectator stands, on one of which the player’s fans are sitting.

- countries in which the game is currently broadcast,
- countries where the game is closed and no longer goes on the air.
Facts
- For each test, a demonstration is shown in which a human expert, stylized as a robot, performs this task. This person’s name is “The Body”.
- The “Cube” can talk - the game is embodied in such a way that the cube has its own voice (the human voice is filtered so that the conversation looks like a robot). This voice comments on the entire process of the game, as well as the demonstrations before each test. The cube is voiced by Colin MacFrailn.
- The game uses slow motion (slo-mo), which looks very impressive on the screen.
- At the end of the second season, there were three special issues in which famous people took part. As their winnings went to charity, a sum of £ 1,000 was fireproof.
- At the moment, of all the participants in the British version, only seven managed to get to the seventh game. Six took the money, and only Olympic champion Mohammed Farah (issue of July 14, 2012) managed to get through all 7 games.
- The maximum number of lives lost in one trial is 8 (“Descent”, “Time-Split”, “Cylinder”, “Pendulum”, “Dead Stop”).
