Biography
He graduated from the Radom school, after which he entered the Sandomierz seminary . He also studied at the Imperial Catholic Academy in St. Petersburg . On July 20, 1879, Marian Jozef Ryks was ordained a priest . Since 1896 he was rector at the Sandomierz seminary. On January 10, 1908 he was appointed apostolic administrator of the Sandomierz diocese.
On April 7, 1910, Pope Pius X appointed Marian Jozef Ryks the Bishop of Sandomierz. On June 19, 1910, in St. Petersburg, Marian Jozef Ryks was ordained a bishop, performed by the Mogilev archbishop Vincent Klyuchinsky , accompanied by the auxiliary bishop of the Mogilev archdiocese and the titular bishop of Claudiopolis of Isaur, Stephen Anthony Denisevich Keenzel'skiy bishop .
As a bishop of Sandomierz, he convened a diocesan synod.
He died on June 1, 1930 and was buried in the Cathedral Basilica of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Sandomierz ..
