Located in the northeastern part of the East Slovakian lowland at the foot of the Slanske Vrhi mountain massif. Near the river flows Olshava.
The state highway Vranov nad Toplou - Trebisov passes through the village.
The population is 2,301 people (2013).
History
The first written mention of the village dates back to 1402 .
In 1769, a Roman Catholic church in the late Baroque style was built in Sachurov. In 1809 - the Greek Catholic Church.
