Greatest Hits - the second official collection of the greatest hits of the rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers , was released in November 2003. In addition to the cover version of the song “ Higher Ground ”, all the tracks were recorded during the collaboration with Warner Bros. - from 1991 to 2002. In addition, two new songs were included in the collection.

About the album
By analogy with the first collection of the group - What Hits !? , which covers the creative period from 1984 to 1989, the new compilation includes songs recorded by the group since 1991 - the Blood Sugar Sex Magik album for 2002 - By the Way . It was during this period of his career that Chili Peppers achieved the greatest commercial success in the music industry. The collection includes most of the singles released since the band’s “breakthrough” with a cover of Stevie Wonder's “Higher Ground” (also present on What Hits !? ). This song was recorded for Mother's Milk album, released by EMI Records , and hit the Greatest Hits thanks to a deal: when the band changed their label from EMI to Warner Bros. Record companies agreed that each of them will be able to take a song recorded by a group from competitors and use it for a musical collection. In turn, for What Hits !? , EMI decided to choose the song "Under the Bridge".
