Cuyahoga Valley National Park (literally - Cuyahoga Valley ) is a national park in the United States .
Kayahoga Valley is located between the cities of Akron and Cleveland in the districts of Kayahoga and Summit . This is the only national park in Ohio .
The area of the national park itself (of federal significance under the administration of the US National Park Service ) is 82.31 km² , the local protected area is 132.87 km². [one]
The national park was formed on October 11, 2000 from the territory of the national recreation area of the same name. In 2013, the number of tourists visiting the park was estimated at 2.1 million. [2]
