The Bishungarov barrows were discovered in 1960 by A. P. Shokurov, and explored in 1966, 1968, 1972. A. Kh. Pshenichnyuk , in 1991 by V.N. Vasiliev. There are 23 mounds in total, in which 3-12 graves were found. In the graves were found the remains of the buried, funeral inventory, etc.
