History
The history of the club begins in 1956 , when the Zvezda army hockey team was created on the territory of the Chebarkul garrison. [2]
The hockey team "Star" performed in classes A and B of the championship of the USSR until the season 1975 / 76gg. [3] Vladimir Filippovich Alfer became the first head coach and head of Zvezda. Two-time Olympic champion Sergey Makarov : [4]

In the club’s modern history, the army team played in the second league of the Ural - Western Siberia zone until 2003. In 2003, for financial reasons, the club was forced to withdraw from the competition two rounds before the championship. Currently, the composition of Zvezda is being formed due to the military service of the Traktor, Mechel, Avtomobilist, Salavat Yulaev and other teams of the region, as well as students from the Molot local children's hockey school. The team’s head coach since 2005 is Imammiev Ildus Mukhamedinovich.

The winner of the Ural zone of the championship of the RSFSR (1959/1960), the winner of the Ural zone of class B of the USSR championship (1964/1965, 1965/1966, 1973/1974), the winner of the 3rd group A class of the USSR championship (1967/1968).

The highest score for the club is 17th in the 1968/1969 season . At the end of the season, Zvezda was able to gain a foothold in the elite division, but in the next season it took last place, having won only 9 victories in 44 matches. [7]
Interesting Facts
- In the 1967-1968 season, Valery Kharlamov and Alexander Gusev played for the team. According to the recollection of Vladimir Alfer, the head coach of Zvezda, “in the first game for the army club Kharlamov was“ lost ”, while Gusev was one of the best” [8] . But this did not stop Valery Kharlamov from becoming the team's top scorer, scoring 34 goals in 40 games of the season.
- Several matches in the 1997/98 season were held for the team by Danis Zaripov [9] .
- In different years, N. Makarov , L. Gerasimov , Yu. Fedorov , V. Tushentsov and other famous Soviet and Russian hockey players also played for the army team.
