Flavius Dionysius ( Latin Flavius Dionysius ) is a Roman political figure in the first half of the 4th century .

Flavius Dionysius came from Sicily . For some time he worked as a lawyer. In 328-329, Dionysius served as governor of Phenicia . Between 329 and 335, he was on the post of consul of Syria . In 335, as a committee of the Consistory , Dionysius was responsible for the preparation of the Cathedral of Tire .
It is known that in 341 he proposed to the famous rhetorician Libany to move to Constantinople , but was unable to provide support because of his illness. At this time, Dionysius was quite an influential person.
