Geography
The city is located to the west of Chicago in Cook County .
Cultural life
Not far from the city center there is a large park with a water center. The shopping district mainly occupies a site on Madison Street. Previously, the city was known for its taverns and bars, which now there are not so many. Now there are many antique shops, boutiques and restaurants in the city. Recently, Forest Park was named Chicago's Best Restaurant Neighborhood by readers of the Chicago Tribune newspaper.
