History
Best Air was established in 2007 as a joint project between Best Aviation and the Kuwaiti holding Aqeeq Aviation Holding, which owned 70% of the property of the newly formed carrier.
The airline began operating in January 2008 with scheduled flights from the capital's international airport, Shahjalal. In 2009, the company stopped all shipments due to a sharp increase in aviation fuel prices.
In 2010, Best Air announced plans to resume operations in March 2011 after receiving a major subsidy from Bangladeshi financial holding Destiny Group LTD of Bangladesh and intending to acquire three new ATR-72 aircraft, three Airbus A320 airliners and then long-range Airbus A330 airplanes or a Boeing 777 .
