Biography
Born in a family of teachers. After studying at the Pedagogical Gymnasium in České Budějovice , she entered and graduated from the theater department of the Prague Academy of Musical Art in 1963.
From 1964 to the mid-1980s, she played on the stage of the Moscow Theater in Vinohrady . She was a leading theater actress. Since 1988 - in the Prague National Theater .
In the 1970-1980s. Iva Yanzhurova - one of the most sought after actresses of Czechoslovakia.
Since 1988 - Member of the Drama Actors Club in Prague.
She starred in many movies, among them, “ I killed Einstein, gentlemen ” (1969), “ Four murders are enough, dear ” (1970), “ Solo for an elephant with an orchestra ” (1975), “ Marechek, give me a pen!
