The national hockey team of Uzbekistan ( Uzbek. Shaybali xokkey bo'yicha O'zbekiston terma jamoasi / Shaibali hockey bўyich Ўzbekiston terma jamoasi ) is the national team representing Uzbekistan in international tournaments and hockey matches. Managed by the Uzbekistan Hockey Federation , which is a candidate for joining the IIHF .

History
Soviet time
At the beginning of the 70s of the 20th century , the hockey team Spartak was created in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent , and began playing in the USSR hockey championship [1] . These players represented the Uzbek SSR in hockey at the Winter Olympics in 1978 . There was the debut of the Uzbek national team.
The team took part in 3 Winter Games, held in their framework 7 matches with the national teams of the Union republics, won 2 victories, both over the Lithuanians . Also within the framework of the Games, the team played 8 matches with the Russian teams, losing them all; from the Moscow team was the biggest defeat (0:26) of the Uzbek national team.
Post-Soviet period
After the USSR ceased to exist, in independent Uzbekistan they simply forgot about hockey. And only at the beginning of the second decade of the XXI century , attempts began to recreate the federation and hockey teams in the capital of the country. In October 2013, the Ice Hockey Federation of Uzbekistan was registered [2] .
The Uzbek national team has not yet participated in official competitions.
