Odorrana absita

Odorrana absita (lat.) - A species of amphibians from the family of real frogs . Endemic of Southeast Asia: Laos (Xe Kong Province - Kaleum District; Saravane Province - Samoy District. Perhaps also lives in Vietnam). Found in shallow ponds, streams and on branches in tropical forests at altitudes from 920 to 1300 m in the mountains of Annamite Mountains. The species O. absita was first described in 2005 by the American herpetologist Bryan L. Stuart ; Department of Zoology, North Carolina State University, Raleigh , USA ) and the Thai zoologist Tanya Chan-ard, National Science Museum of Thailand; Thailand ) under the original name Huia absita Stuart & Chan-ard, 2005 . Close to the species Huia masonii , known from Vietnam [1] [2] [3] [4] [5] .
