Dacheng ( Chinese: 德昌 , Pinyin : Déchāng ) is a county in Liangshan-Ii Autonomous Region of Sichuan Province ( PRC ).

History
The county was isolated in 1945 from Sichan County and became part of the Sikan Province ; the name was formed from the first characters of the provinces of Dezhou (德州) and Changzhou (昌 州) that existed here. In 1950, the county became part of the Xichang Special District (西昌 专区). In 1955, the Sican Province was disbanded, and the Xichang Special District was transferred to the Sichuan Province. In 1959, Dechan County was annexed to Xichang County, but was restored in 1962. In 1970, Xichang Special District was renamed Xichang District (西昌 地区).
In 1978, Xichang County was disbanded, and Dechan County became part of the Liangshan-Ii Autonomous Okrug.
