Metallyticus fallax (lat.) Is a species of mantis from the family Metallyticidae ( Mantodea ) [2] .

Description
Found in Southeast Asia : Borneo [2] . Body length about 2 cm, dorsoventrally flattened. Pronotum length 5 mm. Head, pronotum and forelegs black (coxae of anterior grasping legs almost completely brownish). They are distinguished by their brilliant greenish-blue color, similar to the goldfish beetles. They move with the body close to the ground, like cockroaches. They are found on trees and under the bark, where they hunt cockroaches [3] . Prothorax short, venation of wings similar to cockroaches [4] [5] .
