" Very Bad Teacher " ( born Bad Teacher ) is an American sitcom created by Hilary Winston based on the 2011 film of the same name . The television series premiered on April 24, 2014 on CBS , as part of the 2013–14 American television season . [2] On May 10, 2014, the channel closed the series due to low ratings. [3] On May 22, 2014, after the fifth episode was aired, the planned sixth and seventh episodes were removed from the broadcast schedule [4] and replaced by repeats of episodes of the television series “ Millers Divorced ” [5] [6] .

Synopsis
The television series tells about the life of a young, beautiful, purposeful status wife who receives nothing after a divorce. Her task becomes the search for a new rich candidate for the role of her husband. To achieve this goal, she develops a plan, the first point of which is employment in high school. [7]

Development
The first mention of the creation of the television series took place on October 5, 2012 [8] , and on January 23, 2013 the television series received an order for a pilot episode. [9] Don Scardino was appointed director on March 13, 2013. [10] On May 13, 2013, it was announced that the television series would not be released in the fall 2013 television season on CBS. [11] The series was not on the schedule for the 2013–14 television season, which CBS presented on May 15, 2013. [12] , but on May 22, 2013, the channel announced the order of the series for the television season 2013-14. [13]
Casting
February 18, 2013 David Alan Greer was the first of the actors to join the television project in the role of Karl. [14] The next day, Erie Greynor was approved by Meredith. [15] February 21, 2013 Ryan Hansen also joins the project in the role of Joel. [16] On March 6, Sarah Gilbert was hardened as Irene, [17] and a week later Christine Davis was chosen to play the role of Ginny. [10] On the same day, Sarah Roder was approved for the role of Lily, but this news was not announced that day. On March 19, 2013, Caitlin Kimball received a recurring role in the television series [18] .
