Dmitry Fedorovich Madurov (born April 2, 1965 ) is a Russian sculptor , historian , culturologist , and candidate of art history. He is a member of the all-Russian public organization "Association of Art Critics" ^[1] . Member of the Association of Anthropologists and Ethnologists of Russia.

Biography

In 1986 he entered the department of sculptural and architectural and decorative plastics of the Moscow Higher State Art and Industrial School named after S. G. Stroganova , Dean and teacher A.V. Soloviev, who graduated with honors in 1991. In those same years, he mastered the art of artistic casting from non-ferrous metals. The thesis “Count S. G. Stroganov”, performed by D. F. Madurov under the guidance of Professor A. N. Burganov , was recommended to be cast in bronze for the university.

In 1992, he participated in a competition to create state symbols of the Chuvash Republic. The project of D.F. Madurov took second place.

In 1992, together with archaeologist V.F. Kakhovsky, he participated in the compilation of the Archaeological Map of Chuvashia.

In 2000, he first participated in archaeological excavations in the city of Bolgar under the guidance of archaeologist N. A. Kokorina.

In 2001, he successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis on the topic "Traditional visual art of the Chuvash, semantics and stylistics" at the Moscow Higher State Art and Industrial University named after S. G. Stroganova.

2001-2004 work in the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, adviser to the Minister of Culture of Russia on science.

After the dissolution of the ministry, he continued his scientific work at the Russian Institute of Cultural Studies in the sector “Cultural Environment of Settlements”

In 2004-2005 - Senior Researcher, Sector of the Cultural Environment Settlement, Russian Institute of Cultural Studies, Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

In 2005-2007 - chief specialist of the Russian Humanitarian Science Foundation

From 2003 to 2010 annually took part in the Syrian archaeological expedition of the IA RAS. The first years he worked in Syria as a drawing artist, being the successor in this work to Professor N. Ya. Merpert . Here, under the guidance of RAS Corresponding Member R. M. Munchaev, he mastered the professional skills of a field archeologist.

In 2008-2010 - Senior Researcher, Department of History, Chuvash State Institute of Humanities.

In 2009, he announced a series of programs (10 programs) on the ancient history of the Chuvash people on Radio Chuvashia.

In 2012, he organized the International Conference of Historians and Archeologists "Statehood of the Eastern Bulgars of the 9th-13th Centuries." As a result of which he published a collection of works.

Member of archaeological expeditions: Bulgarians (led by N. A. Kokorin), Dagestan (Gertma 1. Hands. R. G. Magomedov), Crimea, Syria 2004-2010. (Tell Khazna 1, director R.M. Munchaev), Chechnya 2018 (Brotherly barrows).

Scientific work

He acted as an official opponent of the Ph.D. thesis in art criticism and ethnography (Teuchez N.K. Adygs' gold-sewing business) ^[2] . He took part in the discussion and with reports in the section “Nomads of the Middle Ages” of the Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, leader S. A. Pletneva .

Organized the International Conference of Historians and Archeologists "Statehood of the Eastern Bulgars of the 9th-12th centuries", held in 2012 in Cheboksary. He was the editor-in-chief of the collection of articles “Statehood of the Eastern Bulgars of the 9th-12th centuries”, compiled on the basis of the conference materials ^[3] .
