Geography
The village is located on the banks of the Udavikha River. [one]
History
According to the Lists of the inhabited places of the Russian Empire in 1872, the village belonged to the 1st camp of the Buysky district of the Kostroma province . There were 7 yards in it , 20 men and 35 women lived. [2]
According to the 1897 census , 92 people lived in the village (44 men and 48 women). [one]
According to the List of Populated Places of the Kostroma Province in 1907, the village belonged to the Lycurgus volost of the Buysky district of the Kostroma province . According to the volost government, in 1907 there were 18 peasant households and 109 inhabitants. The main occupations of the villagers, in addition to agriculture, were carpentry and transport. [one]
Before the municipal reform of 2010, the village was also part of the Orekhovsky rural settlement of the Galich district. [3] [4]
