Biography
Olga Prosalenti was born in the family of famous artists of the island of Kerkyra . Her grandfather, sculptor and artist Prosalentis, Pavlos (1784-1837), is considered the first professional sculptor of modern Greece [2] . The artist was her father, Prosalentis, Spiridon (1830-1895).
Artists also became her sister Prosalenti, Eleni (1870-1911) and the brothers Prosalentis, Pavlos (Jr.) (1857-1894) and Prosalentis, Emilios (1896-1926).
Despite the fact that the Prosalentis family is well known to art critics, there is uncertainty about the year and place of birth of Olga Prosalenti (Athens or Kerkyra, between 1870 and 1874) [3] . Olga received the first painting lessons from her father.
Olga Prosalenti, like her sister Eleni, followed the academic style of painting. Her main genres were portrait and landscape. Her most famous paintings were portraits of Konstantin Satas , Ioannis Pissas and Murdzinos [4] .
A number of landscapes were performed by the artist as a result of a trip to Mount Pelion , including a painting by the school of Rigas Fereos [5] . The artist died in Athens in 1930.
