Geography

Located in the central part of the district, about 7 km north of the center of Ozyory . There are two streets in the village - Club and Prudnaya [10] . It is connected by bus with the district center [11] . The nearest settlements are the villages of Kamenka , Markovo and the village of Gory .

History

In the β€œList of Populated Places” of 1862, Varishchi is a state village of the 1st camp of the Kolomensky district of the Moscow province on the left bank of the Oka River from the confluence of the Moscow river, 24 versts from a county town, with a pond, with 59 yards and 401 inhabitants (195 men, 206 women) [4] .

According to the data for 1890, it was part of the Gorsky volost of the Kolomensky district, the number of souls was 389 people [5] .

In 1913 - 61 yards [12] .

According to the materials of the 1926 All-Union Census, the center of the Varishchinsky village council of the Gorsky volost, 264 inhabitants (108 men, 156 women) lived, there were 62 peasant farms [6] .

In 1927, the Varishchi village council was liquidated [13] .

Since 1929 - a settlement in the Ozyorsk district of the Kolomna district of the Moscow region, since 1930, in connection with the abolition of the district, - as part of the Ozyorsk district of the Moscow region.

In 1939, the village was transferred from the Markovsky Village Council to the Mountain Village Council.

1959-1969 - a settlement in the Kolomensky district [14] .

From 1994 to 2006 - the village of the Gorsky rural district of the Ozyorsk region [15] [16] .
