Lauri Pyukönen ( Fin. Lauri Pyykönen ; born April 20, 1978 , Pirkkala , Finland ) is a Finnish skier , participant of the Olympic Games in Turin and four world championships, and a prize-winner of the World Cup. A pronounced specialist in sprint racing.

In the World Cup, Pyukyonen made his debut on March 7, 1999 , in December 2002, he first hit the top three at the World Cup stage in the sprint. In total, he has 2 hits in the top three at the stages of the World Cup, both in the sprint. Pyukyonen’s best achievement in the overall World Cup standings is 26th in the 2002/03 season, the same year he became the third in the sprint standings.
At the 2006 Olympics in Turin, he was 27th in free sprint, 54th in classic 15 km and 5th classic in team sprint.
During his career he participated in four world championships , the best result is 12th place in the sprint at the 2003 world championships .
Used skis manufactured by Madshus , Salomon boots. He completed his sports career in 2007.
