Description
Small fan-winged insects. Antennae 7-segmented. Paws 4-segmented without claws. The male aedeagus is slightly curved. Biology unknown. Presumably, like other species of close genera, insect parasites (all modern Stylops species are parasites of the bees of the genus Andrena ). The genus was first isolated in 1969 by the paleoentomologist Ragnar Kinzelbach ( Ragnar Kinzelbach ) together with a separate family of Bohartillidae [1] [3] .
