Geography
It is located in the south-west of the Chelyabinsk region, on the right bank of the Ural River , near the confluence of the Yangelka River, about 20 km south-west of the regional center, the village of Agapovka , at an altitude of 330 meters above sea level [2] .
History
Yangelsky was founded as a military post-redoubt of the Orenburg border line between 1740 and 1743. It is mentioned in the "List of populated areas of the Orenburg province", published in 1871, as the village of Yangelskaya [3] .
