Stylops fukuiensis

Stylops fukuiensis (lat.) Is a fan - winged insect of the genus Stylops from the family Stylopidae . Japan , Honshu (Fukui Pref.) [1] . Parasites of bees of the species Andrena miyamoto Hirashima (subgenus Hoplandrena , genus Andrena , Andrenidae ). Paws of males 4-segmented, antennae 6-segmented with lateral processes. The head is transverse. They have sharp sexual dimorphism: male winged (2 pairs of narrow wings: front small and narrow, wide rear), females wingless worm-shaped endoparasites. The species was first described in 1991 by the Japanese entomologist Teiji Kifune (Department of Parasitology, School of Medicine, , Fukuoka ) and named S. fukuiensis for the location of the type series (Fukui Pref.) [1] [ 2] [3] [4] [5] . In one of the new works on the genus Stylops , during the analysis of DNA by the authors (Straka et al., 2015), it is considered as a supposed synonym for the species? = Stylops yamatonis Kifune & Hirashima, 1985 (in the status of “Supposed new junior subjective synonym”, which for 2018 the year is not confirmed by relevant specialized databases, for example, Eol.org and Strepsiptera database) [6] [7] .
