Biography

Born in the village of Nizhny Sukhoyash of the Bugulma district of the Samara province [1] .

November 15, 1923 he enrolled as a cadet at the United Tatar-Bashkir military school named after CEC of Tatarstan in Kazan. In September 1926 he graduated from it and was sent to the 1st Tatar Rifle Regiment of the 1st Kazan Rifle Division PrivO in Kazan, where he served as platoon commander, pom. commander and company commander. From March 1930 to August 1932 he was an instructor of the non-military training of the Agayash military registration and enlistment office of the Tatar Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, then again served in the 1st Tatar Rifle Regiment as company commander and pom. battalion commander. World War II

With the outbreak of World War II, he continued to command this regiment as part of the 36th Army of the ZabVO. In October 1941, the division went to the front and from October 13 included in the 7th separate army. It was tasked with it, together with units of the 272nd Infantry Division, to destroy the enemy in the Ascension region of the Leningrad Region, and to take up defense along the southern bank of the river. On April 20, the enemy, tightening up reserves, launched a counterattack in the direction of Kobyali’s end, as a result of which the division was forced to retreat and take up defense in the area of ​​the southern coast of Shakshozerka, Shakshozero, the southern coast of Urozero and Maly Chegi [2]

In May 1942, Lieutenant Colonel Bulatov was appointed deputy. the commander of the 21st Infantry Red Banner Division, leading the battle between Ladoga and Onega lakes. From November 1942 to June 1943, he was trained at the Higher Military Academy. K.E. Voroshilova. After completing her crash course, he was appointed commander of the 96th Infantry Division and fought with her until the end of the war. As part of the 11th army of the Western, then Bryansk (since July 30) fronts, he participated with her in the Oryol and Bryansk offensive operations. In early October, the division was withdrawn to the Headquarters reserve, then transferred to the Belorussian Front and participated in the Gomel-Rechitsa offensive operation. For the differences in the battles during the liberation of Gomel by the order of the Supreme High Command of November 26, 1943, she was awarded the honorary title "Gomel". In the summer of 1944, the division as part of the 48th Army of the 1st Belorussian Front successfully operated in the Belorussian, Bobruisk, Minsk, and Lublin-Brest offensive operations. For the liberation of Mr. Slonim, she was awarded the Order of Suvorov, 2nd art. Since January 1945, the division as part of the 2nd and then the 3rd Belorussian fronts took part in the Mlava-Elbing, East Prussian offensive operations. Having fought over 300 km, she took part in the capture of the cities of Makow, Hohenstein, Braundeberg, Allen-stein, for which she was awarded the Order of the Red Banner. From May 1 to May 9, 1945, in fierce battles to clean the Frisch-Nehrung spit, the division advanced 40 km, where it completed hostilities [2]

After the war, Major General F. G. Bulatov continued to command the same division (since August 1945 - as part of the Kazan Military District). In July 1946, she was reorganized into the 26th separate rifle Gomel Red Banner Order of the Suvorov brigade as part of the Volga Military District, and Bulatov was approved by its commander.
