Born in 1915 in Oslo . In 1947 he won the gold and bronze medals of the World Cup, in 1949 - the silver and bronze medals of the World Cup. In 1952 he became the champion of the Olympic Games in Helsinki in shooting from a small-caliber rifle from three positions at a distance of 50 m, in shooting from a small-caliber rifle while lying at a distance of 50 m, he became 14th, and in shooting from an arbitrary rifle from three positions at a distance of 300 m - 11th; in the same year he won two gold, silver and bronze medals of the world championship. In 1954, he won two silver and two bronze medals of the World Cup. In 1956, he didn’t earn any medals at the Olympic Games in Melbourne , becoming the 7th in shooting with a small-caliber rifle while lying at a distance of 50 meters, and the 15th in shooting with a small-caliber rifle from three positions at a distance of 50 meters. In 1960 he took part in The Olympic Games in Rome , but there in the shooting with a small-bore rifle lying at a distance of 50 m became 22nd, and in shooting from a small-bore rifle from three positions at a distance of 50 m - 38th.
