Overview

The game takes place on two planets located in different worlds - Cybertron and Earth . In the center of the plot, each version of the game, lies the pursuit of the "Dark Spark" - a powerful artifact of destruction and chaos.

In the 3DS version, the gameplay resembles the game " Transformers: G1 - Awakening " - there is a flat map divided into squares along which a set of characters moves. In battle mode, three-dimensional graphics are used. The battle itself takes place according to the following rules: each turn the character receives points that can be spent on one of seven different attacks, from those requiring a small number of points of weak moves to super attacks, on which you need to accumulate points for several moves. You can also block the enemy attack. During the battles, the characters gain experience, and with an increase in the level, the characteristics of the transformers increase. Characters also have abilities that should be considered during battles.

The game has more than 50 characters that can be selected in the story missions for the Autobots and Decepticons. Some characters become available only upon pre-ordering the game as bonus content.

Story

Console Version

Chapter I: Dark Spark

Movie universe
Game Characters : Drift
Lockdown watches Earth, where Optimus Prime lurks with its Autobots. Suddenly, an object falls onto the planet, simultaneously breaking a satellite launched by people. The object attracts the attention of the mercenary, and he orders to head to the landing site. On Earth, Drift is discussing with Optimus a surprise attack by an unknown enemy. Prime orders the Autobot to arm himself with a firearm as the situation becomes dangerous. Drift destroys several enemies with their swords and arms. As the autobot approaches the meeting point with the commander, they both notice an enemy squad. Having entered into battle with several enemies, Drift notices that these are not Decepticons. Optimus suggests that these are mercenaries working with Lockdown. Autobot wonders what benefit can be gained by attacking people. For Prime, this also remains a mystery, but he intends to find out the plans of the enemy. In the meantime, Drift makes his way further through the tunnels, destroying the mercenaries encountered and marveling at the scale of destruction. The leader reassures that people are already ready for the Cybertron war and have not suffered an attack. Drift notes that people do not trust them, but Optimus still hopes to convince earthlings with his actions. At the subway station, another detachment of mercenaries is discovered, and Drift deals with them, after which Optimus and Bumblebee join him. Together, the Autobots are approaching Lockdown's ship, and the samurai is surprised that he does not shoot. Prime guesses that it’s not them who are the mercenary’s target, and the Autobots are hiding underground while the enemies destroy on the surface. Soon they get out into the shattered space, where they see a Cybertron artifact. The Matrix tells Optimus that it is a Dark Spark. Prime orders to prevent Lockdown from capturing the artifact, as it is something much more dangerous than any weapon. Autobots restrain the onslaught of mercenaries until the energy field of the object is scattered. Then they try to collect the artifact, but it turns out that Lockdown was ahead of them. Optimus tries to dissuade him, but the mercenary demands a fee for such a treasure, despite the Autobot's warnings about the dangers of the Dark Spark. The mercenary decides not to listen to Prime and inserts it into his chest compartment, after which he slows down the time for the Autobots and calmly flies away. Optimus lamentably explains to his comrades that a dark legend has just come true.

Chapter II: The Lost Vault

United universe
Game characters : Soundwave, Shockwave
The events of this chapter precede the first. The Decepticon forces almost captured Cybertron, the Autobots on the verge of defeat. To speed up the victory, Megatron sends a detachment to the ruins of the Crystal City, hoping to get a Dark Spark. Starscream does not believe that the artifact exists, the opinion of Shockwave has not yet developed, and Soundwave prefers to first obey the order and then argue. At the entrance to the city of the Decepticons, hordes of insecticons are met, and the squad is forced to break through them. Shockwave is intrigued by these primitive forms of life and is separated from the group for research. Soon, the Decepticon meets the three leaders of the swarm - Hardshell, Kickback and Sharpshot. Having overcome them, the scientist offers them to join the Decepticons. Meanwhile, Soundwave and Starscream continue to make their way through the complex to the alleged storage of the Dark Spark. The further path turns out to be flooded with acid, and the signalman releases Rambla to pump it out. When the acid is removed, Shockwave appears with new recruits. However, it turns out that this does not solve the problem with insecticons - while the bosses are nearby, they will not attack, but without them the swarm is quite independent and acts on its own. The Decepticons continue to make their way into the vault, but before the first door closes, something appears on Starscream's radar. Shockwave does not believe him, but Seeker is convinced that the doors impede scanning. The deeper the Decepticons make their way, the more serious the defense becomes. Megatron eagerly reports that the artifact should be delivered to him in Kolkular as soon as possible. The next line of defense are the crystal guards left here since the Golden Age. Having destroyed the ancient defenders, confirming the importance of the store, the Decepticons learn that to open the door you need to simultaneously start 4 terminals. Soundwave releases Lazerbeek, and the squad is split. Everyone makes their way to their destination. Lazerbeck has problems with superior enemy forces, and Soundwave recommends that the subordinate get directly to the control panel unnoticed. Now the signalman notices the presence of nearby Autobots. Soon, Lazerbeck and Soundwave reach their destinations. Finally, Starscream and Shockwave arrive at their points. Decepticons simultaneously activate terminals and open storage.

Chapter III: Escape

United universe
Game characters : Sideswipe
Sideswipe and Ironheid infiltrate the vault and take the Dark Spark. At this moment, the Decepticons notice them. Starscream tries to catch up with them, but the door closes and the Decepticons are trapped. While Lazerbeck is trying to open the door, the Autobots find out that they are also at an impasse, and even with insecticons. Sideswipe uses her cable to climb and help her partner. Finally, the fighters get to the very top. However, a surprise awaits them again - instead of closing behind them, the door isolates the Autobots and Sideswipe is trapped. Ironhide tries to rescue him, but only attracts the attention of insecticons. Finally, the Autobot is outside. Ironheid advises finding another way and meeting again before departure. While Sideswipe jumps along the ledges, the teammates are discussing a return to the Ark. Finally, the path is found and the Autobots together cope with a giant insecticon. Then the soldiers make their way to the train station, where they are waiting for Optimus and Bumblebee. Sideswipe calls the train, but only one Bumblebee managed to boot and the three Autobots remain and fight with the insecticons. Insecticons continue to attack, and Starscream soon appears, whom the beetles also attack. Finally, the second train approaches, and the Autobots leave. Shockwave and Soundwave appear and remotely undermine the train on which the Autobots left.

Chapter IV: Prey

United universe
Game characters : Sniper
After the train explodes, Optimus convenes the Autobots to protect the Dark Spark. The sniper points the blast towards the artifact, and two Decepticons go there. It turns out that he is still with the Armored Car, and the insecticon receives an order to break the enemy’s resistance. Finally, the Autobot is defeated, and the Blast takes the Dark Spark. Now the Decepticons plan to get to the Kaon, where Megatron has moved, but the Autobots ambush them. The sniper covers the scientist, at the same time destroying the barriers that prevent him. When the path is cleared, several heavy warriors appear, and the Blast decides to find another path so as not to risk the artifact. Decepticons fail in the dungeon and the insecticon has to open the doors while his partner admires the architecture. Further, the scientist finds records of the Dark Spark - according to one hypothesis, this is the Spark of Unicron himself, according to others - a marriage released by the Well of All Sparks. According to Galvatron , the artifact came from another Universe. In any case, the ancient transformers saw the power of the artifact and agreed (after the disappearance of Kraniks ) that it should be hidden forever. For the sake of this, a repository was specially built, but before it turned out that Giaxus was trying to use the artifact to control the missing scientists. While Exploding explores, the Sniper destroys the crystal guards who appeared from the open door. Finally, the Decepticons explode the exit and get out of the vault, after which they are found by Whirlwind, Fingal and Sturmovik. The attack aircraft orders Fingal to escort the Blast while the rest of the Warlords cover the flanks. The merchant is clearly unhappy, but unable to challenge the order. The attack aircraft and Whirlwind depart, but Fingal remains.

Chapter V: Rush

United universe
Game characters : Fingal
Fingal accompanies the Blast and Sniper to Kaon. Fingal activated several signal beacons while the insecticon covered him from the air. At the same time, the Decepticon discovered a path for the scientist and artifact, but the ship landed with reinforcements of the Autobots, and the detachment was forced to distract them. Finally, the Decepticons find themselves on the road to Kaon, but the Sniper flies away for no known reason. But the Climber appears with a detachment of Autobots, intending to stop the enemies and take away the Dark Spark. The Decepticons chase the invisibility and break his squad, but the Autobot manages to escape despite the damage. It soon turns out that the Climber was simply trying to buy time to implement the Optimus plan. The Decepticons calmly continue to move to the gates of Kaon.

Chapter VI: The Gates of Kaon

United universe
Game characters : Fingal, Grubikus
The Decepticons reach the border of the Kaon, but it turns out that the Autobots placed heavy artillery in front of him. And until Fingal destroys the guns, air support is impossible. As soon as he completes the mission, Blown up, attacked by Autobots, asks for help. By that time, the Explosion may support them, which he, after a brief hesitation, is doing. Finally, all the militants come together and gather in Grubikusa, destroying the remaining enemies. In a last desperate attempt, the Climber jumps onto the back of a giant enemy, hoping to blow him up, but Grubikus hits him on the wall. Jazz tries to negotiate the release of a friend, but fails, as reported to Optimus. The captive and the Dark Spark are delivered to the Kaon.

Chapter VII: Penetration

United universe
Game characters : Optimus Prime
Optimus decides to break into Megatron’s fortress, Kolkular to rescue the Climber, Jazz follows him. The Autobot leader also plans to destroy the Dark Spark. Jazz offers to leave the artifact to the enemy and fly away calmly, but Prime recalls that Ark is not yet ready for departure, and if Megatron takes advantage of the Dark Spark, Jacon will be in ruins before they can fly away. Finally, the Autobots destroy the guards and find themselves inside the fortress. Active defensive systems are discovered there, but since the Autobots did not hear any alarms, Jazz suggests that these guns should shoot the scrapbooks. Soon, the Autobots burst into the processing point and shoot the guards. Jazz goes forward to find a suitable path for Optimus, who is not equipped with a cable. The Autobot reports that there are many guns in front, and Prime makes his way to the terminal, fighting off the arriving guards. When the processing point does not get in touch, the Decepticons begin to suspect something is wrong and send a detachment of snipers, but the Autobots have already left this place and entered the prison compartment. Jazz delves into the data to locate a prisoner held in one of the laboratories, Explosions for an unknown operation. The Autobots guess that there is a trap ahead, but they have no choice. Their hunch is quickly confirmed - in the center of the hall appears a hologram of Megatron, welcoming the guests. A couple of jumpers with a new detachment of warriors arrive immediately, but this does not stop the Autobots. Finally, the fighters make their way to the Climber and use the complex's defensive weapons against the enemies. When Prime approaches to free the captive, it turns out that all three Autobots are inside the larger and more robust chamber. Optimus calls the Perseptor and orders the start of Operation Longshot.

Chapter VIII: A Desperate Plan

United universe
Game character : Fighter
The fighter approaches the crash site of Trypticon and learns from Perseptor that the mission is launched. The aviator is sure that he will not need modified decepticon samples to find the way, since the Fighter worked for many years at the station, but the scientist recalls that the station was rebuilt and destroyed. Autobot agrees and follows the guide. Inside, the Fighter discovers that some systems are still functioning, but the partner is encouraging that the giant's spark is inactive, and all the changes that are taking place are probably automatic. Also found a small detachment of Decepticons, with which the Autobot quickly cracked down. A little later, the Fighter sees that the Decepticons are commanded by the Scandalist. Siker’s troops pump energy out of the ruins, convinced that this is Megatron’s order, but the Decepticon immediately assuages them. Finally, the Skandalist flies away on his own business, and the Autobot has to fight with his subordinates in order to clear the way to the Trypticon gun systems. Then the Fighter flies to the hangars, where he again sees an old acquaintance. This time, the defense systems notice the Autobot, and he has to fight. Having destroyed the Decepticons and their guns, the aviator makes his way to his goal - the gun control point. The Autobot recharges them, and then transfers control to the Perseptor. To produce a shot, the scientist uses all the energy, including the one that the Scandalist was going to steal. Leaving the displeased siker behind, the Fighter flies away. Tripticon shoots from its mouth at Kolkularu, freeing the Autobots.

Alone, an autobot breaks through enemy fortifications to enter the laboratory. There he meets Megatron, using the power of the Dark Spark to control the corpses of the Autobots.
