Postal codes in Turkmenistan are a six-digit code system that was inherited from the Soviet Union and distributed in postal services in the territory of modern Turkmenistan .

Description
The postal code system has not undergone significant changes: the first three digits of the index approximately correspond to the region, the next three to the post office number in it. Fuzzy compliance is caused by the changing territorial division of the republic since the introduction of the indices ( 1970 ).
