Until 2015, it belonged to the rural settlement Boyarkinskoye , before the municipal reform of 2006, it was the village of the Gorsky rural district [3] [4] . The population is 191 [1] people. (2010).

Geography

It is located in the eastern part of the Ozyorsk district, about 11 km northeast of the center of the Ozyory , on the left bank of the Oka River [10] . In the village there are 3 streets - Polevaya, Sadovaya, Shkolnaya and 2 alleys - Bolnichny and Bolnichniy 2nd [11] . It is connected by bus with the cities of Ozyory and Kolomna [12] . The nearest settlements are the villages of Kamenka and Zhilivo . In the village there is a church, library, shop, pharmacy, club. The buildings of the former hospital, kindergarten and church school have been preserved.

Historical Information

In the scribal book of 1577 it is mentioned as the village of Bel Kolodez , in the materials of the General land surveying of the XVIII century - the village of Belya Kolodezi [13] .

According to the confessional painting of 1782, the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary belonged to the Kashira tithe of Kolomensky district. The following people served in it: priest Timofei Stefanov [son] 75 years old, clerk Fedor Timofeev [son] 21 years old, clergyman Fedor Timofeev [son] 14 years old, pop Avramy Trofimov [son] 64 years old, deacon Peter Trofimov [son] 48 years old, priest Nikita Timofeev [son] 37 years old. There was no homestead. Therefore, the main parishioners were peasants (villagers). In total, the parish totaled 766 people in 94 courtyards.

In the years 1850-1858. in the village a stone one-domed church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built in the pseudo-Russian style, with the chapels of the Beheading of the Forerunner and Nicholas the Wonderworker in the refectory and the bell tower [14] .

In the “List of Populated Places” of 1862, White Wells is a state-owned village of the 1st camp of the Kolomensky district of the Moscow province on the left bank of the Oka River from the confluence of the Moscow river, 20 versts from the county town, with 280 yards , an Orthodox church, 5 factories and 1823 residents (868 men, 955 women) [6] .

According to the data for 1890, it was part of the Akatyevsky volost of Kolomensky district, there was a zemstvo school in it, the number of male souls was 891 people [15] .

In 1913, there were 237 courtyards, a zemstvo school, an almshouse and a state-owned wine shop [16] .

According to the materials of the 1926 All-Union Census, the center of the Belokolodez village council of the Akatievsky volost, there were 1017 residents (411 men, 606 women), there were 264 households, including 226 peasant ones, a first-level school, a hospital for the unified consumer society, and the village committee of the peasant public mutual assistance [7] .

Since 1929 - a settlement in the Ozyorsk district of the Kolomna district of the Moscow region, since 1930, in connection with the abolition of the district, - as part of the Ozyorsk district of the Moscow region.

In 1938, the Assumption Church was closed, the bell tower was broken. Reopened in 1992 and renovated [14] . It is an architectural monument [17] [18] .

  • Nikolai Semenovich Piryazev (August 7, 1946 - May 27, 2008) - Russian local historian, member of the Union of Journalists of Russia, founder of the literary and historical association "Ozyorsk chronicler", author of books and articles on local history of the Ozyorsk district.
