History
From 1917 to 1923, the village of Staraya Maluksa was part of the Lodvinsky village council of the Porech volost of the Shlisselburg district .
Since 1923, as part of the Vinyagolovsky village council of the Putilov volost of the Leningrad district .
Since 1924, again in the Lodvinsky Village Council.
Since February 1927, as part of the Mginsky volost. Since August 1927, as part of the Mginsky district .
Since 1928, as part of the Berezovsky village council [2] .
According to 1933, the Berezovsky village council of the Mginsky district included the single village of Maluks [3] .
According to the topographic map of 1937, the village of Malux had 7 yards. There was a school in it, north of Staraya Maluksa station there was a sand pit.
From September 1, 1941 to December 31, 1943 the village was under occupation.
In 1958, the population of the village of Old Malux was 621 people.
Since 1960, as part of the Tosno district [2] .
According to data from 1966 and 1973, the village of Staraya Maluksa was part of the Berezovsky village council of the Tosno district [4] [5] .
According to 1990, the village of Staraya Maluksa was the administrative center of the Berezovsky village council of the Kirov region [6] .
In 1997, 902 people lived in the village of Staraya Maluksa , the administrative center of the Berezovskaya volost, in 2002 - 859 people (of which Russians - 87%) [7] [8] .

Geography
The village is located in the southern part of the district on the highway 41K-124 ( Petrovo - Maluksa station), southeast of the center of the settlement of the village of Mga .
The distance to the administrative center of the settlement is 39 km [9] .
The railway line Mga - Budogoshch passes through the village. In the village there is a stopping platform Old Maluksa .
To the east of the village is the Maluksinsky moss swamp.
