Biography
In 1934-1937 he studied painting at the Kharkov Art College . After his graduation, he continued his studies at the Kharkov Art Institute (1937-1942). Pupil N. Samokish , A. Kokel (Afanasyev) and M. Kozyk . [one]
In 1944-1947 - Director of the Kharkov Art College.
Since 1947 he taught at the Kharkov Art Institute, associate professor (since 1961), professor (since 1977). He raised a galaxy of Ukrainian artists, among them: E. Tregub , People's Artist of the Ukrainian SSR.
Member of the Kharkov branch of the Union of Artists of Ukraine (since 1943). For many years, he headed the painting section of the Kharkov branch of the Siberian Art School.
He worked in the genre of landscape , still life , genre painting.
Member of Republican, All-Union and international art exhibitions since 1945.
As part of a group of Soviet artists in 1957 he was on a creative business trip in India, which affected his work.
