Biography
Born on June 8, 1917 in Tashkent in a working class family. He worked in the city of Kizyl-Arvat of the Turkmen SSR as an accountant at the railway hospital.
Great Patriotic War
In March 1942, he was drafted into the Red Army by the Kyzyl-Arvat GVK. After graduating from the Kharkov Military-Political School in 1942, he was sent to the front.
For military services in the liberation of Kursk, the assistant company commander, Lieutenant Shuvaev, was awarded the Order of the Red Star [1] .
Deputy commander of the 2nd rifle battalion, Captain Shuvaev, distinguished himself when crossing the Dnieper in September 1943. In the battles for expanding the bridgehead, Shuvaev replaced the battalion commander who had fallen out of order, organized a reflection of the enemy’s counterattacks, which made it possible not only to force the river, but also to consolidate and retain the defense of all brigade units [2] .
By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of October 17, 1943, for successfully forcing the Dnieper River north of Kiev, firmly fixing the bridgehead on the right bank of the Dnieper River and showing courage and heroism to Alexander I. Star ” [2] .
Post-war time
Since 1946 - in stock. He lived in Moscow. Worked as an economist at the Salut plant. He died on July 10, 1975. He was buried at the Perovsky cemetery in Moscow.
