Biography

He was born on January 10, 1912 in the city of Pavlodar in a peasant family. He graduated from the College of Agricultural Mechanization. In 1936-1937 he served in the Red Army .

World War II

He was again drafted into the Red Army in 1941 by the Solikamsk GVK.

In battles in the area of ​​the village of Sokolniki, Kursk Region, on July 5, 1943, the commander of a machine-gun platoon, junior lieutenant Shuvalov, destroyed up to 200 enemy soldiers and officers with his machine-gun fire and knocked out 1 tank. For this feat he was awarded the Order of the Red Star [1] .

The party organizer of the battalion, Lieutenant Shuvalov, showed a personal example of courage and courage in offensive battles of the unit and during the crossing of the Dnieper River [2] .

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 15, 1944, for exemplary performance of combat missions of the Command for crossing the Dnieper River and courage and heroism shown to Lieutenant Shuvalov, Konstantin Fomich was awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Star medal [2] .

The captain was awarded the Order of the Red Banner for the skillful staging of party political work, personal bravery and courage shown in the fighting in the Berlin direction, during the crossing of the Neiss and Spree rivers and on the outskirts of Berlin in April 1945, the captain was awarded the Order of the Red Banner [3] .

Post-war time

After the war he continued to serve in the army. In 1946 he graduated from advanced training courses for officers at the Military Academy of Armored and Mechanized Forces. Since 1962, Lt. Col. Shuvalov - in stock. He lived and worked in Rostov-on-Don, then in Odessa.

He died on March 1, 1999. He was buried at Kuntsevsky cemetery in Moscow.
