Biography
It came from the second branch of the elder line of the ancient Shakhovsky family. His parents: Alexander Vasilievich Shakhovskaya (1801-1836) and Alexandra Alexandrovna, nee Shenshin.
After graduating from Imperial Moscow University , he entered service on June 1, 1856. In 1872 he was granted the title of Chamberlain .
In 1884-1896 he was the Yaroslavl provincial leader of the nobility . Since 1895, he was the hofmeister [1] ; since December 6, 1895 - with the rank of Privy Councilor. In 1896 he was included in the Ministry of the Interior: Honorary Justice of the Peace of Rostov County .
For the campaign of 1877-1878 He was awarded the Order of St. Vladimir of the 4th degree with swords; also had the Order of St. Anne of the 1st degree.
He participated in the Akhal-Tekin expedition of General M. D. Skobelev .
He was married to Sofya Viktorovna Andreevskaya (d. 04/14/1911) [2] .
