The city is located in the southern part of Qazvin, on the right bank of the Herrud River , approximately 43 kilometers southwest of Qazvin , the provincial capital, and 124 kilometers west-northwest (WSW) of Tehran , the country's capital. The absolute height is 1266 meters above sea level [2] .
