Kantagi , Khantagi ( Kazakh. Kantagy ) is a village in the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan . It is subordinate to the Kentau City Administration. The administrative center and the only settlement of the Kantaginsky rural district. Located at the eastern border of Kentau on the Kantagi River of the same name. The KATO code is 512037100 [1] .

In 1999, the village population was 9,587 people (4,774 men and 4,813 women) [2] . According to the 2009 census , 6364 people lived in the village (3126 men and 3238 women) [2] .
