Mitar “Mando” Maksimovich ( Serb. Mitar Maksimovi ; October 10, 1963 , Done Zabrce - December 27, 2002 , Dvorovi ) - Serbian governor of the Chetniks, a serviceman of the Army of the Republika Srpska, commander of the unit “Lions from Majewice”.

Biography
In the past, Mitar was a soccer player and played for the Mayevitz team from the city of Zabrce, and also played for Rudar from Uglevik. September 26, 1991, after the outbreak of war in Croatia, he arrived in Knin and was enrolled in the 1st Benkovac brigade. He participated in the battles for Knin and Benkovac, thanks to his courage he became the company commander. Nine months later, Mitar returned to his native land to protect the Uglevik from Muslims. April 10, 1992 went to the capital on Majewice, and then formed the elite battle group "Obilichi", which soon became known as "Lions from Majewitz" or "Mandova Lions". In its composition, this detachment totaled up to 600 people. In battles, he lost 52 people killed and 180 wounded. The detachment participated in the battles for Brcko, Ozren and other places of the former Yugoslavia.
On May 13, 1993, Mitar Maksimovich was promoted to voivode by personal order of Vojislav Seselj , and was also awarded the Order of Milos Obilic. After the war, he was chairman of the Assembly in the Uglevik community.
December 27, 2002 Maksimovich died in a car accident. He left his wife Lilyan, son of Dushan and daughter of Bozhan. In memory of him, five years later, a monument was opened in the city of Uglevik, also the name of Mitar Maksimovich is a charity football tournament. The memory of him is immortalized by the Serbian singer Baia Mali Knindzha , who dedicated his song “Prepiteli” from the album “Glovi Barut” to Mitar Maksimovic.
