Sports career
He started weightlifting in 2005. I trained at my father - R. Naniev . He fulfilled the standards of a candidate for master of sports and became the champion of North Ossetia in his age category.
The first major victory in adult sports was the 2014 European Championship silver in the under 105 kg category with a score of 182 + 222 = 404. He lost only 1 kg to Andrei Demanov , while he excelled in the clean and jerk due to his lower personal weight.
