Biography
Born in the family of a medical assistant in Mineralnye Vody. In 1919, the family moved to the village of Korshunskaya [1] . In 1932 he entered the Novo-Cherkasy Technological Institute, from where he was transferred for training to a special faculty of the Leningrad Technological Institute , graduating from which he received a diploma of a process engineer. In 1955 he was sent to work at TsNIITOCHMASH where he occupied the position of chief engineer, and from 1963 to 1992 he held the position of director of the Institute.
In 1955 he defended his thesis becoming a candidate of technical sciences. In 1971 - Doctor of Technical Sciences . In 1980 he was awarded the title of professor. In 1993 he was elected an academician of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences.
Hero of Socialist Labor, awarded two Orders of Lenin, the Order of the Red Banner of Labor and medals, the USSR State Prize and the S. I. Mosin Prize were awarded. Under his leadership, a wide range of new types of ammunition was developed [2] .
