The generation of the 50s ( Spanish Generación del 50 ) is a name that in the history of Spanish literature received a pleiad of writers and innovators who were born in the 20s of the 20th century and gained fame after the Spanish Civil War . Their appearance coincided with the stage of a certain openness of the Franco regime and the first publications of translations of works by foreign authors Thomas Eliot and Paul Celan .
