Geography
The commune is located approximately 420 km southeast of Paris , 55 km east of Lyon , 50 km southeast of Bourke-en-Bres [1] .
In the south of the commune flows the river Brive ( French Brive ). About half of the area of the commune is occupied by forests.
Climate
The climate is semi-continental [2] with cold winters and warm summers. Rains happen infrequently, mainly in the summer.
