Masverk - (Maßwerk, with it. - “drawing work”) Gothic decorative frame ornament , all elements of which are built using a compass. It consists of stylized shamrocks or four-leafed, circles and their fragments. It is carried out by a deep relief on wooden or stone structures.

In Gothic architecture is found in the design of windows, balustrades . Also used in the manufacture of furniture. Similar ornaments are later found in the Art Nouveau style .
